What will you find at this memorial site?
Upon entering, visitors can view a projection about the Camisard War, including its causes and consequences.
Then our staff will show you documents grouped into three categories. First, documents which take up once more the theme of the projection, recounting the difficult living conditions encountered by Protestants and the Camisard War itself. Then, documents on the local implications of these events. Last, a series of texts and documents evoking recent or current cases of totalitarianism, and the resistance they have generated.
Among the iconic persons envisaged there will be Albert Schweitzer, Martin Luther King, Aung San Suu Kyi, Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, Daniel Barenboim, Elias Chacour and others.
